Practice. Practice. Practice. Insight alone won’t help you manage your time any better. But you probably already know that. You also probably know the things you need to do to get better at time management. You just don’t do them. Or you do them half-heartedly and give up. Effective time management is a habit, just like brushing your teeth or walking the dog. It’s only when you consistently practice good time management skills that you begin to see positive results. It doesn't happen overnight, especially if you have deep-rooted habits to replace. But it's well worth the effort. When you manage your time well, magic happens. Your thinking, and therefore your day-to-day living, becomes much more focused and much less cluttered. Paradoxically, things get easier and you accomplish more. Yet there’s nothing particularly magical about the steps you need to take to manage your time better. In The 25 Best Time Management Tools & Techniques, you'll find literally hundreds of helpful solutions to your toughest time management problems, from determining what’s really important to you to planning, getting organized, overcoming procrastination, setting priorities, and even communicating better. |

| Are you organized or does all your stuff drive you crazy? These days, it seems our stuff owns us rather than the other way around. That was one reason my co-author and I wrote The 25 Best Time Management Tools & Techniques. We wanted to help people get better organized so they had more time to do the things that were important to them. We knew there were already lots of books on how to get organized and manage your time better. So we looked for the special contribution we could make. That turned out to be a short, easy to read compilation of the best tips on time management we could find. No fluff. Just actionable instructions already proven to work. People always joke that they don't have time to read a time management book. I'd say you don't have the time NOT to. You really can't manage time - it passes. That's it. But you can manage the events of your life and all the stuff that comes along with living. It doesn't just happen to you, without your participation. When you can get good at focusing, prioritizing, planning, and putting your plans into action without getting sidetracked, a whole new world opens up to you - a world where you feel better about yourself and what you're accomplishing. To us time management is about lowering your stress and increasing your health and well being. Not small issues in anyone's life! |
