Screenwriting

The NovaMind program includes a Screenwriting Module used to write scripts for movies, TV and plays.

You can display the screenwriting sidebar panel by clicking the S icon at the bottom right of the window.

Configuration

You can set the overall configuration of the screenwriting configuration in the options panel.

At the bottom of the screenwriting panel there is a configuration button. Click this to show the options like this:

This panel allows you to set the options for the way dialogues are handled when the dialogue splits across multiple pages If you have the "Bottom of page" option turned on, the text beside that is put in the standard position in the page layout indicating that there is more dialog from that person on then next page.

The "Top of Next Page" setting sets what is displayed at the top of the next page of dialogue - if you have the checkbox turned on, the text beside it is printed on the top of the next page. If you have the "Automatic Character Continueds" option turned on, the name of the character that the dialogue relates to is printed on the next page.

For the Scene Breaks, you can include text indicating that the scene continues on the next page at the bottom of the page, and text at the top of the next page to show that it is continued from the previous page. If you have the continued # option turned on, it prints the number of pages the scene covers after the second page.
