As mentioned in the previous section, by using the Formatting Bar you can see what element you are currently in and which elements you can skip to using Tab or Enter. These elements that are accessed by Tab and Enter cycle through in logical order according to what normally follows on e.g. Dialogue always follows Character Name.

 

There are other ways of changing elements too.

 

If you use your mouse and click on the currently selected element, it will popup with the full list of elements so you can use your arrows keys, click on your preferred option and then start typing your text. You can also use this method to change an existing element type to something different.

 

Or, by pressing your Enter key in an empty element, your list of elements will open to select from.

These hotkeys are only active when you are editing your script (because they are used for other actions when editing your Mind Map).
